Best Time To Visit

Generally, the best time to visit India is from the months of October through March. The weather this time of year tends to be warm and dry with plenty of sunshine.

When visiting the southern states, the best time to go would start in November, as the monsoons would have ended and your chances of sunshine increase. The heat can be oppressive in May and June.

When visiting the far north, travel is best from June through August, even though many other parts of the country are experiencing monsoons during this time. Trekking in the Himalayas is at its peak during August and September.
